PHOENIX - A reward is being offered for information leading police to a suspect in a Phoenix bank robbery.
Phoenix police say a Black male, between 25- and 35-years-old, entered a Comerica Bank at 44th Street and Thomas Road at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, approached a teller and asked about services.
After he was taken to an office the suspect showed the employee a note advising that he was robbing the bank and demanded money.
When the employee told the suspect there was no money in the office, the suspect ran out of the bank without getting any money and was seen fleeing on a small-framed bicycle, according to police.
The suspect was described as 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds, heavyset, with a light complexion, brown eyes and wearing brown glasses.
He was said to be wearing a light tan polo shirt with horizontal stripes and black t-shirt underneath, dark dress pants, black shoes and carrying a blue shopping bag.
No weapon was seen, according to police.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect.
