PHOENIX - Police arrested a 21-year-old man who was caught by family members after he allegedly got into a Phoenix apartment and molested a 4-year-old girl.
Phoenix police say Ricardo Torres Marquez allegedly got into the apartment, near 75th Avenue and McDowell Road, through a window just after 6 a.m. Sunday.
Police say Marquez molested a 4-year-old girl in the apartment and tried to carry her out the front door when family members awoke.
The girl's parents and grandmother were able to hold on to Marquez until police could arrive.
Marquez has been booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of child molestation, one count of kidnapping and one count of burglary.
Police said there were several siblings in the same room with the victim but it is not believed they were molested by Marquez, who is not known to the family.
