PHOENIX - A motorcycle rider is in critical condition after crashing his bike Thursday night.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. near 46th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Glendale Fire Department spokesman Mike Young said witnesses told police the man was flying down the road and for unknown reasons laid his bike down.
Young said the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. There is no word on if he was wearing a helmet or not.
Camelback Road was shut down from 44th to 46th Avenues while crews worked to clear the scene.
The rider has not been identified at this time.
