PHOENIX - Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in a remote area last July.
Homicide detectives discovered evidence of a murder while conducting a search at the home of Jesus Adame Raymundo, 42, located in the 1500 block of Desert Cove Avenue in Phoenix.
MCSO believes there was an accomplice who helped Raymundo fatally shoot Francisco Mendez-Rangel and then move his body to an area near Interstate 17 and Table Mesa Road.
The second suspect, Esteban Cota Bacapiz, is being sought in addition to the red Ford F-150 pickup truck believed to have been used in the crime. The truck's Arizona license plate is AWJ5157.
Both the suspect and victim were in the country illegally, according to MCSO.
Anyone with information about Bacapiz can contact the Sheriff's Office at 602-876-4842.
