PHOENIX - Authorities have recovered the body of a man who went missing after he dove off a 300-foot cliff at Saguaro Lake earlier this week.
Officer Christopher Hegstrom, spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, said the body of Justin Otto Lee Anderson was found near Sandy Beach at Saguaro Lake in the area where he went missing.
Witnesses told authorities that Anderson jumped off the cliff and hit his back against the water. He went under the water and never resurfaced.
A Department of Public Safety Phoenix Ranger and a MCSO helicopter conducted aerial searches, while crews used an underwater search vehicle to search beneath the water. Both searches did not locate the missing man.
Divers were also used, but were unable to locate Anderson.
