PHOENIX - Maricopa County jurors have convicted a 60-year-old man of multiple counts in connection with the 2006 shooting death of a woman and attempted murder of her boyfriend.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery says Friday's verdict in the case against Larry Carver is a milestone in what he described as a "tortuous and difficult road" to justice.

Carver is scheduled to be sentenced next month. Prosecutors say he faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison.

Prosecutors say Carver and his son, Richie, went to Ryan Waller's home seeking revenge for a previous altercation. Richie Carver shot Waller in the head, seriously injuring him.

Prosecutors also say the Carvers shot and killed Heather Quan, apparently because she was a witness.

Richie Carver was previously convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
