PHOENIX - Authorities say a man has been arrested in connection with a drug-related killing in Phoenix in 2008.
Phoenix police say 57-year-old Larry Walters was taken into custody Wednesday on suspicion of drug possession and homicide.
They say Walters is suspected in the death of 51-year-old Lonnie Raines in October 2008.
Raines was found fatally stabbed in a vacant field near 16th Street and Broadway Road.
Police say the killing became a cold case until recently when new information led to information about the suspect.
It was unclear Friday whether Walters has legal representation yet.
