PHOENIX - The Jodi Arias trial has been canceled for Thursday.
According to a court spokesperson, Judge Sherry Stephens is out sick.
The trial is expected to resume Tuesday since the courts are closed Monday for President's Day.
Arias was expected to return to the witness stand for a seventh day.
She’s charged in the 2008 brutal death of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in Mesa, where she stabbed and slashed him 27 times and shot him in the head.
If she’s convicted of first degree murder, she faces the death penalty.
In the last six days on the witness stand, Arias has claimed that Alexander cheated on her, beat her, and used her for sex.
She has also talked about how Alexander was a “secret pedophile” in her fourth day of testimony.
The courtroom has heard explicit phone conversations between Arias and Alexander.
Arias is claiming that she killed Alexander in self-defense.
