Homeless bottled water supply dwindling, donations needed

PHOENIX - It’s no shock that triple-digit days can become fatal for those without proper protection, so local organizations are doing their part to combat the heat.

St. Vincent de Paul, a non-profit organization, has taken matters into their own hands by opening dining rooms for extended hours on overly-hot days and providing bottled water to homeless members of the community.

Giving away over 1,700 bottles of water a day on their Human Services Campus, their supply of bottled water is running out.

According to a news release, St. Vincent de Paul estimates that they only have enough water to last them nine more days.

If you can help the non-profit supply more bottled water to the community in need, you can make online monetary donations online or drop off water at any of the following locations:

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance is also asking for water donations to deliver to the Department of Economic Security and to add to emergency food boxes.

St. Mary's Food Bank helps hundreds of agency partners keep community members hydrated, especially in the extreme heat.

Donations can be brought to St. Mary's Food Bank locations in Phoenix and Surprise, as well as any Goodwill location, which serves as a secondary St. Mary's donation spot.
