PHOENIX - Home Depot wants to fill more than 1,000 slots at stores across the Valley.
The home improvement retailer needs the extra help as they prepare for their busy spring planting and home improvement rush, which in Arizona starts earlier.
“It’s very weather driven,” said Melissa Dieckmann, an operations manager at a Phoenix store. “Our garden department is one of the departments that has the most increases in sales.”
The job openings are temporary and available at all 26 Home Depot locations in the Valley. If hired, workers will be guaranteed a job for four months.
Often times, workers find with the right work ethic and attitude, workers can end up staying for the long term.
About half of The Home Depot’s 2011 seasonal hires stayed on in permanent positions, a release said.
