PHOENIX - A fugitive who escaped an arrest attempt by a bail bondsman on Tuesday was taken into custody Wednesday night after an alert police officer spotted him.
Phoenix police say Thomas Glenn Morgan, 57, was seen driving a suspected 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor in the area of 32nd Street and Thomas Road and a "felony stop" was conducted.
A bail bondsman had attempted to take Morgan into custody outside a bank near 44th Street and Thomas Road on Tuesday, firing shots in the process.
Morgan rammed the bondsman's car and escaped after a chase down Thomas, according to police.
He was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail for two counts of aggravated assault, class 2 felonies, and warrants for fraud-related charges.
