PHOENIX - There were some headaches and delays for tenants at the Casa Anita apartment complex in Phoenix where rain flooded the front parking lot and blocked in about a dozen cars Wednesday morning.
Ralyn Thompson, who has lived at the 83rd Avenue and McDowell location a month, said the standing pool of water reached her knees.
"I'm from Roswell, New Mexico," she said. "I thought it didn't rain (here) like this."
Some tenants decided to drive through the water to get to work. One tenant said she didn't want to take the risk of damaging her Mustang.
"I'm going to be late to court," she said.
"It's crazy," said Alan Evans who has lived there for a few months. "It rained hard. Two hours or more," he said.
Maintenance crews were seen trying to clear the sewer drain. According to one employee, no damage was reported.
