PHOENIX - Firefighters had to be called to help rescue a cat stuck in the door hinge of a truck parked in a Phoenix grocery store parking lot Wednesday.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Jacobs said the Dodge pickup truck was parked at a store located at 51st Avenue and McDowell Road and when the cat tried to escape from the truck it got stuck and was injured.
Firefighters called for an Arizona Humane Society rescue unit to assist in sedating the cat before it was removed.
Jacobs said the cat did not belong to the owner of the truck.
A security guard at the store reportedly took the cat home.
