Arizona is getting $1.6 million in federal stimulus money for a program to put 28 job help hubs and 200 "virtual workforce workstations" in public libraries throughout the state.

Job Help Hubs consist of computers with job-related and training software.

Instructors will help people with resumes, job searches and employment applications as well as help in starting a business or continuing education opportunities.

Workforce workstations are computers with job search and placement help that includes comprehensive skill assessment, development of employment plans and one-on-one counseling, training and career planning through video conferencing.

Secretary of State Ken Bennett says the grant will help libraries provide practical information and services to Arizonans most in need -- those searching for a job.
