PHOENIX - A construction worker is dead after an accident at a Phoenix home Tuesday.
The accident happened in the Biltmore area, near 32nd Street and Camelback Road.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Chris Ketterer said construction crews were installing a garage roll-up door when it fell and rolled about a dozen feet onto the worker.
When fire crews arrived, other construction workers were trying to lift the door off the 25-year-old victim.
He was taken to a local hospital as a trauma code, where he later died.
Ketterer said the house belonged to Michael Marin, who was found guilty of arson and killed himself by taking a cyanide pill in a Phoenix courtroom during his sentencing in June.
Authorities said Marin set the home on fire then escaped from a second floor window using a rope ladder and wearing a scuba diving mask.
