PHOENIX - A person has been killed in an apparent suicide at Sky Harbor Airport, according to police.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Scott McDonald said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene outside Terminal 4.
According to McDonald, there were a number of people who witnessed the incident.
Phoenix police Officer James Holmes said the victim jumped from the Terminal 4 parking garage.
Holmes said the investigation caused a backup of traffic coming in from the west back to 24th Street and urged drivers to enter the airport from the east.
The name, age and gender of the victim have not yet been released.
