PHOENIX - Authorities think a child is responsible for a Phoenix house fire that left a family homeless and sent a woman to the hospital with burns on her legs.
Firefighters said five people were inside the home near 51st Avenue and Camelback when the fire broke out.
Investigators told ABC15 one of the kids inside the home admitted to lighting his mattress on fire.
Officials said the family is now displaced. Fire crews were able to save the family's Christmas tree and presents.
Investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started.
