PHOENIX - Authorities say a fire at a Phoenix auto shop early Monday morning appears to be suspicious.
Phoenix fire spokesman Larry Nunez said the flames started around 3 a.m. at Lopez Auto Tops at Missouri and 27th avenues.
The family-owned business that opened in 1966 suffered extensive damage to the building. A wall on one side was completely destroyed.
ABC15 crews on scene said arson investigators were at the building, calling the incident suspicious.
The fire reportedly started from the outside.
Crews were able to put out the flames. The cause remains under investigation.
