PHOENIX - Authorities say one person has been found dead after a central Phoenix apartment fire.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Frank Salomon said four units were involved in the first alarm fire at 16th Street and Maryland Avenue Thursday morning.
He said one person has died. Neighbors tell ABC15 an adult male lived in the apartment.
Air15 video showed smoke pouring from the structure and crews cutting holes in the roof.
There was no immediate word on how the victim died, or what caused the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
