PHOENIX - A man accused of killing his wife and her two children 10 years ago in Peoria has been sentenced to death Thursday morning.
David Lamar Anthony was sentenced to death on all three counts of first degree murder.
It was announced around 11:15 a.m.
Anthony was found guilty of murdering his wife and stepchildren in 2002 and was sentenced to death, but the verdict was overturned by the Arizona Supreme Court in 2008.
The court said the trial judge erred in letting the prosecution argue that David Anthony had a motive to kill his family.
The court said DNA evidence that indicated Anthony had molested his wife's 14-year-old daughter was not strong enough.
Anthony was convicted without the victims' bodies being found.
The bodies of Donna Anthony, her 14-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son were found when construction crews in Buckeye unearthed the bodies inside barrels in 2005.
