PHOENIX - An autopsy shows the daughter of a murdered former Nevada state lawmaker died by suicide in Arizona.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office says 32-year-old Dallas Augustine died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The bodies of Augustine and 50-year-old Jessie McCaskill were found in a Phoenix home Monday night.
Police investigators say it appeared one of the women was attempting to pack her belongings and leave.
The medical examiner's office says the other woman died by "homicide" from a gunshot wound to the head.
They say full autopsy results won't be available for up to 120 days.
Augustine's mother, Nevada Controller Kathy Augustine, died in her Reno home in 2006. Her husband, Chaz Higgs, was later convicted of murdering her by injecting her with a paralytic drug.
