PHOENIX - Fire officials say two people were hurt in an apartment fire Wednesday afternoon in Phoenix.
Phoenix fire Captain Scott McDonald said it happened at 12:20 p.m. at an apartment complex on Camelback Road just east of State Route 51.
Fire crews found a big fire on the ground floor of the apartments when they arrived, McDonald said.
Crews put the fire out and kept it within the apartment where it first started, he said.
One of the men hurt in the fire was taken to a hospital with smoke inhalation, and the other man had cuts on his hand.
Both are expected to be OK.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
