Phoenix police say 26-year-old Ivan Trejo also is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault on a police officer, hit and run and felony flight.
Police say Trejo was wanted for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend a few weeks ago.
Trejo was located about 5 p.m. Wednesday at a Phoenix gas station and police say he nearly hit an officer with his car.
They say Trejo drove into Tempe and was involved in a hit-and-run collision, then went back into Phoenix before ramming his car into gates near a canal and abandoned his vehicle.
Air15 video showed Trejo weaving in and out of cars before he was arrested by police near 7th Street and Thomas Road after a brief foot pursuit.
