PHOENIX - An out-of-state man had to be flown off Camelback Mountain Saturday morning after fainting and injuring his leg.
Officials from the Phoenix Fire Department say that the man, who is around 40 or 50 years old, had hiked about 3/4 of the way up the Echo Canyon trail and fainted.
As he fainted, the man fell and injured his leg and was unable to make it back down on his own,
Bystanders called for help.
The man was flown off the mountain and transported to a hospital for treatment of the injury to his leg and to be checked out for the reason behind his passing out.
