PHOENIX - It was an eventful day of weather Thursday in the Valley.
We started the day with some much-needed rain in Glendale.
It really poured at the football stadium.
In total, 3/4 inch of rain was measured at Phoenix Sky Harbor.
Down the street from the airport, lightning struck two palm trees and caught fire near 40th Street and McDowell.
Then things died down for a bit, but in the afternoon the dust rolled in.
In Avondale, you could barely make out the mountains behind a slow-moving wall of dust.
Overall, a busy day for Mother Nature here in the Valley of the Sun.
