PHOENIX - A 2-year-old girl is lucky to be alive after falling from a second story window Saturday afternoon.
Phoenix police spokesman James Holmes said the accident happened around 3 p.m. at an apartment complex near 7th Avenue and Indian School.
Holmes said the child was playing in a bedroom with siblings, and jumping on the top bunk of a bunk bed, when she fell through the screened window and landed two stories down outside the apartment.
Fire officials told ABC15 the child was breathing when they arrived on scene. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
