Maricopa County Sheriff's deputy Tim Abrahamson arrested on aggravated assault charge

PHOENIX - A Maricopa County Sheriff's deputy has been arrested on a warrant for aggravated assault.

MCSO spokesman Sgt. Brandon Jones said Tim Abrahamson, a seven-year deputy with the Sheriff's Office, was taken into custody Wednesday without incident.

The aggravated assault allegedly happened in September, in Cass County, North Dakota.

Abrahamson is now being held at the the 4th Avenue Jail in downtown Phoenix, before his extradition to North Dakota.
