Have you noticed an orange hue lighting up downtown Phoenix?
Chase Bank is shining orange throughout the month of September as part of Hunger Action Month .
Jerry Brown with St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance said orange is the color of hunger.
He hopes folks drive by and remember the people struggling to put food on the table and be inspired to take action.
Many other iconic buildings are "going orange" across the country this month to "Light Up Hunger".
Brown said the food bank feeds 1,000 people every day and currently 30 percent less food is being donated compared to this time last year.
St. Mary's is making it easy to help by posting a "30 Ways in 30 Days" calendar with events, ideas and suggestions on its website.
St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance is the world's first food bank with more than 600 locations. Brown said it serves two-thirds of Arizona's 15 counties.
