PHOENIX - A 60-year-old man has died after a cardiac arrest at Tent City on Saturday.

Officials say Arthur Mardil died at about 9:00am on the Tent City grounds.

Detention officers found Mardil and immediately began CPR alongside an AED machine. Phoenix Fire arrived and pronounced the death, according to authorities.

Mardil was in custody on a $4,000 child support warrant.

Mardil was on a work release status, he would work during the day and report to jail every night and weekend.

MCSO will investigate the death, but they believe at this time the inmate died of natural causes.
