PHOENIX - A 3-year-old boy has been taken to a local hospital after nearly drowning in an apartment complex pool Wednesday afternoon.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Scott McDonald said the boy was found in the pool near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Firefighters said the boy was playing with the other kids near the pool when he fell in. Officials said there appeared to be no adult supervision.
There is no word on how long the boy was in the water.
McDonald said the boy is in extremely critical condition.
