PHOENIX - Two people arrested for their alleged roles in the robbery and deaths of a Paradise Valley couple have been sentenced in the case.

Brittany Beinhauer had pleaded guilty to one count of credit card theft in an agreement with prosecutors. She was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison.

Fellow Phoenix resident Katherine Austin was given three years in prison for hindering prosecution.

Both appeared before Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Warren Granville.

The women were among more than a handful of people charged in the case.

Authorities say Lawrence and Glenna Shapiro were fatally shot in January during a home invasion. The bodies of the well-to-do philanthropists, who were in their 70s, were found tied up and burned beyond recognition in their home.
