PHOENIX - Phoenix police are investigating what lead to a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist.
The crash happened Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m. near 48th Street and Elliot Road in Ahwatukee.
According to Phoenix police spokesperson James Holmes, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when it collided with a pickup truck that was making a southbound turn.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the truck did not show any signs of impairment.
Preliminary information indicates speed on the part of the motorcycle could have been a factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
