AHWATUKEE, AZ - A man is dead after a fight with his roommate turned deadly Sunday morning.
Phoenix police spokesman Trent Crump said the two men were fighting at their home near 13th Street and Chandler when Gregory Bell, 51, stabbed his roommate in the chest.
The victim collapsed and witnesses performed CPR on the man until police and fire crews arrived.
Bell fled the scene, but was caught by police a few miles away.
The victim was flown to the hospital where he later died.
Crump said Bell was booked into jail on one count of second degree murder and one count of assault, for assaulting a second roommate earlier in the evening
