SHOW LOW, AZ - Authorities say the pilot of a small plane was injured when his aircraft spun out of control at an eastern Arizona airport Saturday.
Show Low Fire spokesman Eric Neitzel said the pilot reported that while taking off around 7 a.m. the single engine plane made a sudden violent right turn and spun into the grass off the runway.
Neitzel said the pilot was taken to Summit Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Show Low Fire Department's Airport engine and foam unit responded and secured the scene.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
