PRESCOTT, AZ - A man has been arrested by Yavapai County Sheriff's Office detectives in connection with a fire on Grey Hawk Point in Prescott on May 31.
Steven Hammes, 51, is being held at Camp Verde Detention Center with an initial bond of $1 million after being booked for one count of arson.
YCSO said their investigations on Friday developed indications the fire was deliberately set.
Additional leads led to identifying Hammes as a suspect, who is also the listed owner of the Grey Hawk Point home.
Hammes was located in Prescott Valley after an arrest warrant was obtained, according to YCSO.
As the investigation continues, additional information concerning the fire can be passed along to YCSO at 928-771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.
