PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is looking for anyone with information about the suspects wanted for stealing more than $19,000 worth of equipment at a construction site in Prescott Valley this week.
Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a construction site operated by Fann Contracting at the corner of Sara Jane Lane and Old Fain Road in Prescott Valley on Monday night at about 8:15 p.m. after a Fann employee reported seeing two male suspects leave the site in a large, white van.
When the deputies arrived, they discovered that the security fence around the site had been cut open and a gate had been forced open, the sheriff’s office reports.
The suspects had broken the latches off the locks of several large portable storage containers, called Conex boxes, and stolen much of the equipment inside, including several vibratory rammers, electric saws and scrap copper.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office along with other law enforcement agencies are also seeking suspects in several Conex box thefts that seem to be related.
Yavapai County Silent Witness is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information about the thefts that leads to the arrest of the suspects in this crime. If you have any information about the whereabouts of the suspects or stolen equipment, please contact Silent Witness at (928) 771-3260 or go to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office website, www.ycsoaz.gov .
