CHINO VALLEY, AZ - A Chino Valley man died Saturday after his vehicle crashed into a roundabout and rolled on State Route 89.

According to the Chino Valley Police Department, 20-year-old Christopher Maldonado was driving north along SR 89 early Saturday morning when his vehicle struck the curb of a roundabout.

Police said Maldonado's 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup rolled at least once, ejecting him from the truck.

Maldonado was taken to a Phoenix hospital where he died due to his injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
