PRESCOTT, AZ - A man wanted on a homicide warrant from North Carolina was arrested in Prescott after a search warrant was served on July 24.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said 33-year-old man, using the name "Daniel Aspuro Gutierrez," was identified by a photo provided by North Carolina law enforcement officials.

After the search warrant was served by Partners Against Narcotic's Trafficking detectives in the 800 block of Bird Street, methamphetamine, cocaine, and a handgun were found inside.

The homicide warrant stems from a December 2010 case in Caswell County, North Carolina, where a gunshot victim was found lying alongside a roadway.

PANT detectives are continuing to determine the suspect's real name, and he is being held without bond.
