Rock climber falls to death near Prescott

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - A college student who was rock climbing north of Prescott died after failing 15 feet into a ravine and suffering a serious head injury.

The Daily Courier in Prescott reports that the Prescott College student was climbing at Granite Dells along Highway 89 with several friends Tuesday afternoon when the fall occurred.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says the man who died was 27-year-old Sean Hennelly from Albuquerque, N.M.

Hennelly was pronounced dead at the scene.
