PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - A Prescott man has been arrested for multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, Derek Barnes allegedly had sexual contact with a 15-year-old female that worked for him at his business in Prescott Valley.
Police reports indicate the victim initially assisted Barnes with tasks at his store the Video Outpost. Around November of 2010, the relationship changed to a physical one. There were indications that Barnes and the victim had sexual conduct several times a month.
In January, detectives executed a search warrant at Barnes' business and collected physical evidence related to the case.
Barnes was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail for 14 counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
