PRESCOTT, AZ - A man is in custody for allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend's two children in northern Arizona.
Prescott police say 25-year-old Michael Gentilcore has been booked into the Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
Police responded to a domestic violence call Monday night at a Prescott apartment.
A woman told police that Gentilcore was upset at her 7-year-old son and allegedly hit the boy in the stomach, knocked him to the ground and pulled his hair.
The boy's 15-year-old sister tried to intervene and Gentilcore allegedly put her in a head lock and punched her in the face several times.
Gentilcore reportedly punched a hole in a wall of the apartment and fled the scene before police arrived.
He was arrested Tuesday morning.
