PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Police have arrested a Prescott Valley man on robbery and assault charges after he allegedly attacked two men in order to get money to bail his friend out of jail.
On Sunday morning, Prescott Valley police responded to a fight in progress at an apartment in the 8800 block of Len Court. When officers arrived, they found more than just a fight.
Victims and witnesses reported that they had been physically assaulted by 31-year-old Brandon Abraham as part of a robbery. According to police, Abraham reportedly physically assaulted two men and threatened them for money and personal items.
The victims were scared of Abraham and handed over $600 in cash and valuables after they were assaulted. According to a police report, Abraham wanted the money and items for bail for his friend.
When police arrived, Abraham was still loading the items and everything was recovered.
Abraham denied the charges that he forced the victims to give him the money and property. He also refused to speak with investigators when he was confronted about conflicting stories regarding the events of the morning.
Abraham was arrested and booked on one count of robbery, two counts of assault, three counts of disorderly conduct and one count of threatening and intimidating.
According to police, Abraham is on parole.
