PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Authorities say a registered sex offender has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a woman standing in line at a Prescott Valley convenience store.
James Briant of Prescott Valley admitted to police he grabbed the 18-year-old victim as she stood in line at a Circle K on State Route 69, according to Prescott Valley police spokesman Brandon Bonney.
Bonney said the woman reported she was dstanding in line to purchase some items when the suspect walked up to her and grabbed her breast.
Briant, 25, reportedly left the store but stayed close by.
When contacted by police he admitted to grabbing the victim and made references to having an uncontrollable urge, Bonney said.
Briant was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail for one count of sexual abuse and one count of disorderly conduct.
Bonney said Briant is a registered sex offender.
