PRESCOTT, AZ - Bond has been set at $125,000 for an Oak Creek man accused of threatening tourists with a pellet gun in northern Arizona.
Yavapai County Sheriff's officials say 59-year-old Ricky Donalson is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault, assault on a child under age 15 and reckless handling of a weapon.
Donalson allegedly approached an out-of-state family of five who were sightseeing July 7 in the Oak Creek area.
As the couple and their three children were getting into their SUV at the Turkey Creek Trailhead, they say Donalson approached holding a rifle.
They say Donalson demanded to know if the family had started a campfire. When they told him they didn't and were hiking, the family claims Donalson told them to leave and pointed the pellet gun at them.
