PRESCOTT, AZ - Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered behind a Prescott convenience store Thursday morning.

Lt. Ken Morley with the Prescott Police Department said a man found the body around 7 a.m. while on a morning walk near Montezuma and Aubrey streets.

Morley said the body is a Caucasian male in his mid 30s and his identity has not been confirmed.

It is believed it is the same man who has been camping behind the store for the past several weeks, according to Morley.

The cause of death is unknown; however there are no obvious signs of trauma, according to the investigators’ preliminary examination of the body.

The investigation is ongoing.
