PRESCOTT, AZ - The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who fled deputies when they tried to stop him for an equipment violation.
Officials attempted to stop 54-year-old Thomas Keller Mitchell on Thursday morning while he was driving on U.S. 69 near Spring Valley.
They say Mitchell sped up and nearly struck two police vehicles.
Officials pursued Mitchell at speeds of more than 85 mph and abandoned the chase when they approached the Mayer/Dewey area.
They say Mitchell had been under surveillance regarding a drug ring.
The Sheriff's Office is now seeking the public's help in locating him.
