JEROME, AZ - Jerome fire and police officials responded to the scene of an accident involving a car crashing into a house early Saturday, according to the Verde Independent .
Reportedly around 2:30 a.m., an 81-year-old woman was driving along Magnolia Avenue and her car left the road, tumbling 20 to 30 feet down the hillside into the back of a house.
Although the impact was near the homeowners' bedroom, she did not realize a car had struck her house until she woke up around 5:30 a.m.
According to the report , the driver was not seriously injured in the accident but remained in the car for about three and a half hours before she was rescued.
