KINGMAN, AZ - A Kingman woman was arrested on charges of child abuse and domestic violence after injuring her infant while fighting with her boyfriend, according to officials.

Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said deputies responded to a domestic violence incident in the 300 block of Magma Road in Golden Valley on Tuesday morning.

Carter said 23-year-old Danielle Marie Dykins was arrested on charges of assault and criminal damage after deputies learned she had punched, kicked and stabbed her 32-year-old boyfriend in the hand.

Officials also learned Dykins had damaged her boyfriend's father's vehicle tires with a knife.

Further investigations into the incident reportedly revealed that during the argument with her boyfriend, Dykins was holding her 7-month-old dauther. A witness reported that as Dykins turned, the child's head was struck on a hall wall inside the residence.

Carter said the infant was taken to the Kingman Regional Medical Center and later transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital where she was later released.

Detectives contacted Dykins at the Mohave County Jail on Wednesday where she was charged with the additional felonies.
