KINGMAN, AZ - A Kingman woman faces child abuse charges after she allegedly left her two children home alone to go to a club.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office reports that a relative discovered the 4-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy sleeping in their bedroom with the door locked from the outside around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
The relative told deputies that when he spoke to the children's mother, 24-year-old Amanda Marie Morse, she said she was going to a club that evening.
An officer with the Kingman Police Department found Morse at a club and took her to the residence.
An investigation determined that Morse left the children home alone, unattended and locked in the bedroom, for at least two hours.
Morse was taken into custody without incident and booked into jail on two counts of felony child abuse.
The children were released to relatives.
