FORT MOHAVE, AZ - A northwest Arizona couple can lay claim to a nice Powerball jackpot.
Willis and Christine Boyd won a second-prize jackpot of $1 million in the Jan. 28 Powerball lottery drawing.
The couple's ticket matched all five regular numbers, though they did not match the winning Powerball number of 13, which would have won them an additional $145 million.
The Mohave Daily News reports the retired police officer says he plans to buy a new car for his wife, give his son some money and invest the rest for his retirement.
